The Arturo J. Pani Walkway

City of Aguascalientes

Strangely enough, though Arturo Pani never had a J in his name it has been there in the name of the walkway for years. It is thought the confusion arose from his brother’s name – Alberto J. Pani.

Really enjoy the atmosphere by visiting one of the street’s many merenderos

Located in the traditional neighborhood of San Marcos, this pedestrianized thoroughfare is just two blocks long (from Manuel M. Ponce Street to López Mateos Avenue) and is one of the liveliest areas of the San Marcos Fair in April.

With its traditional outdoor restaurants, known as merenderos, its Casino and cock-fighting arena, the walkway is a unique experience for all who stroll along its cobblestone route.

Locals and visitors come here all year round for a great atmosphere and fun.

The walkway is a must, whether by day or by night, displaying different tones at different times and enchanting locals and visitors alike.
