Calle Venustiano Carranza

Venustiano Carranza Street is a magnet for locals seeking exciting nightlife and attractive daylife.

Despite being just 500 meters long, Venustiano  Carranza Street boasts several tourist attractions.  It begins just behind the cathedral, and is an excellent place to start your visit, and ends at San Marcos Gardens, the perfect place to relax after your walk. Before you get to the gardens, be sure to visit la Casa de la Cultura (Cultural Center), a building which houses the City Gallery and Regional History Museum with displays ranging from fossils and pre-hispanic religious artefacts to pieces from the Chichimeca Wars in the region.

At La Saturnina Restaurant, savor some delicious local dishes, characteristic of Aguascalientes. It is also home to the local theater group.

Given the cultural nature of Venustiano Carranza Street, it is now frequently adorned with art and is a venue for artistic events during the San Marcos National Fair.
