If you visit between February 1 and 3 you mustn’t miss the San Blas Fiestas

Historical events relating to the independence movement occurred at Hacienda San Blas in 1811.The nation’s founding father, Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, was stripped of his powers as military chief of the rebel army at this very hacienda.

Within this context, the hacienda was restored on several occasions in order to rescue the original ornamental decoration.

Today, the museum has two exhibition halls displaying agricultural, mining and textile tools, as well as objects from everyday life in the past.

As part of the Royal Inland Road, the area has been recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
