Museo del Juguete Tracional Mexicano
Don’t leave the museum without taking part in one of the workshops.
The toy museum houses more than a thousand exhibits, representative not only of the State but of the whole country. The collection displays some amazingly innovative traditional toys, made from a range of unusual materials, including mud, newspapers, wood, rags, chewing gum and sugar. The exhibition consists of pieces from all over Mexico, enriching the museum with contributions from different cultures across the country.
The museum aims to preserve Mexican traditions by showing younger generations how useful and fun these simple toys can be. Not a jot of technology, but plenty of creativity, fun and healthy interaction.
