The tunnels, aqueducts and mines that configure so much of this Pueblo Mágico join to welcome visitors seeking a historic site full of artistic riches and living traditions.

Among the town’s main attractions are the tunnels, built in the eighteenth century to protect the structure of the church against the effects of rainwater seepage. Another sacred site is the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de Belén, home to a Christ figure made from human remains and attributed with miraculous powers

Another favorite is the tour around the Hundido Mine aboard a peculiar tourist train “El Piojito”; Visit la Mina El Hundido and learn about the early techniques used in the mining industry.

Among the festivals held in Real de Asientos is The Festival of Nuestra Señora de Belén, which takes place in January, There are also two festivals in June – Miner’s Day and the Festival of the Señor del Tepozán (Patron Saint of miners).
